ROLE SUMMARY
The LP supervisor works in the field and manages the day-to-day operations for plain clothes loss prevention agents assigned to clients. The LP supervisor will also undertake additional responsibilities like client relations, staff recruitment, training new employees, professional and performance development, etc.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Understanding of asset management and uniform guard principles
A pro-active attitude
Ability to manage relationships with associates and clients
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Excellent record of accomplishment with detailed knowledge of the industry
Train the employees to work efficiently to ensure smooth, continuous and result driven operations
Select new candidates by taking interviews whenever necessary
Maintain the employee attendance records
Assist various policies to the management staff that would help in meeting business goals
Conduct site visits as necessary
Monitor the on-going work and identify problems
Offer appropriate solutions to the identified problems
Providing proper customer service by responding to the client’s questions and complaints in a timely manner
Enforce disciplinary and behavioral standards for the employees
Supervise the daily operations
Ensure that the employees are following safe work practices and company standards
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Comply with all Vigilant AP directives, policies and procedures.
Perform all delegated tasks assigned by Loss Prevention Regional.
Adhere to Company standards as stated in departmental training manual.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old
High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
Excellent written / verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact professionally and positively with store management, Loss Prevention team members, client associates and customers.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Must be detail oriented, highly motivated, and a self-starter.
Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, both inside and outdoors.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
Able to pass a thorough background screen, including criminal background check.
Salary
The salary of an area supervisor highly depends upon experience and is negotiable.
