Corporate Overview  

Bon-Ton was founded in 1898 and is a traditional department store retailer with a history of providing quality merchandise to our customers in mid-sized markets. On March 6, 2006 , we completed the acquisition of the Northern Department Store Group of Saks Incorporated, making us one of the largest regional department store chains in the United States .

Bon-Ton operates 272 department stores and seven furniture stores, located in 23 states, which encompass a total of approximately 27 million square feet across the Northeastern, Midwestern and Great Plains states. We operate under the Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scot t, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers nameplates.

The Bon-Ton operates in targeted markets where we are a primary department store. We offer a broad assortment of brand-name and private brand fashion apparel and accessories for women, men and children as well as distinctive cosmetics and home furnishings. Our merchandise assortment represents fashion, quality and value, with the depth and breadth to satisfy our core customer. Our stores provide a convenient and friendly shopping experience in a pleasant environment.

Bon-Ton Loss Prevention 
 
The Bon-Ton Loss Prevention Department is committed to providing a safe work and shopping environment for our associates and customers. The Corporate Loss Prevention organization is looking for individuals who enjoy working in a professional, team oriented, and growing organization. We are building a foundation for success by growing our team from the entry level, promoting talent from within the organization and providing training to promote development.
