Job Description
The Asset Protection Specialist (APS) is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance.

The APS will utilize tools to minimize Company loss, including but not limited to:
•Identifying incidents of theft and fraud
•Reviewing CCTV and exception reports
•Monitoring the store's physical security
•Auditing the EAS
•Driving a "shrink elimination" culture in the store

Other responsibilities include:
•Preparing accurate and detailed case reports
•Documenting apprehensions and recoveries
•Preserving evidence
•Interacting with law enforcement
•Testifying in criminal and civil court actions
•Reporting any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Manager on Duty (MOD)
•Carrying out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers and the Company

The APS must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to AP concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while ensuring key AP responsibilities are fulfilled.

To be considered for this position, applicants must:
•Be 18+ years old
•Pass a drug test
•Have a minimum of 1 year retail Asset Prevention experience
•Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
•Be able to work a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays
•Have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work independently and with minimal supervision
