Description:

Protect company assets and minimize liabilities and losses through the effective use of company policies and procedures. Conducts on-site audits of merchandise, physical security and processes based on established Distribution Center procedures. Maintain positive working relationships by valuing the contribution/input of co-workers. Ensure a safe and secure environment for co-workers and visitors. Provide first point of contact for visitors and monitors compliance of facility exit procedures. Support company safety policies and practices. Reports to the Loss Prevention Supervisor.

Additional Info:

Perform daily physical security inspections and merchandise accuracy audits that may include but not limited to the following:
o Emergency exit doors
o Emergency equipment
o Outbound freight
o Pick location
o PTL (Put to light)
o IFC
o Lockers
o Safety
o Exit bag checks
Partner with DC leadership team to monitor physical security policies and procedures.
Maintain and implement use of standard forms for visitors, bag checks, and non-compliance reports.
• Participate in internal theft investigations, adhering to company confidentiality guidelines.
• Partners with DC leadership team to execute required action plans for audit preparation.
• Maintain documentation and ensure practices are in compliance with procedures.
• Assist in developing DC procedures.
• Report audit compliance results and safety risks to Loss Prevention Supervisor and DC leadership team.
• Conducts follow-up audits for any corrective action implementation.
• Assist with access control system.
• Monitor DC activities through company surveillance equipment.
• Act as distribution center “greeter” – provide positive and timely customer service to visitors.
• Perform other projects and or duties as assigned.

Experience & Education
• 2 years of asset protection or security guard experience
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) – recommended.

• Ability to take the initiative on all assigned duties while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Working knowledge of PC based applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret reports.
• Good customer skills, organization, and time management.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Be able to make suggestions or decisions which may affect multiple departments.
• Ability to develop programs to address future needs
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to work a rotating schedule between all shifts
• Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
• Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift/move up to 10 pounds. May lift/move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
